FAQ:

What is the purpose of this event?

Provide educational awareness on the number one leading cause of death in the US, burn calories while having fun and fundraise for people affected by the Taal volcano eruption.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable when doing the Zumba and something RED if possible to support “Go Red for Women” by the American Heart Association.

What is “Go Red for Women”?

It is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women.

Does this mean men are not allowed at the event?

Everyone is welcome in this event! Men are twice likely to have a heart attack than women! With this being said, there are more research involving men than women therefore the call for more research involving women.

Is this a continuing education event?

Yes, in fact we’re giving out 1.5 CEU credits for nurses.

Does this mean the topics are catered for nurses?

Everyone can learn from the speakers, nurses or not.

Can I just come and listen to the speakers and not do the Zumba? Or can I just do the Zumba and not listen to the speakers?

You are more than welcome to just come for the first half which is when the educational part of the event is or just for the second half which is when we are going to do the Zumba. But of course, it’ll be more fun if you stay for the whole event!

If I’m only staying for half the session, does that mean I only pay half of the price or $10?

Sorry but staying for the whole event or not, we require the full amount of $20.

Anything else I should bring?

Like any other Filipino events, we have a potluck! We encourage everyone to bring a healthy dish to share.

Are we doing Zumba straight for 2 hours?

There is going to be a break in between the 2 Zumba instructors.
